Favorite pastimes: I love to be outdoors in warm weather-I love to run and leap and play! I also love my toys and hiding under soft blankets for quiet naps. And I REALLY LOVE PEOPLE!

Good with dogs? Nixie can tolerate other dogs, but would prefer to be the only pet in her home.

Good with kids? Yes! Nixie loves all people, but would do best with older/respectful (8+) children.

Hi There! I’m Nixie, and I just LOVE people! I get really excited when I see my leash, because it means that I am going for a walk or a ride in the car-and that usually means that I can meet new people! Humans are great don’t you think? I mean, they give me treats and toys and affection and love…seriously, I would take the company of people over other pets any day! I would love to live in a house full of people, or even with just one special person that has lots of company or takes me on walks or adventures! I also love my toys and treats! My foster mom does “training sessions” with me. She thinks treats are my reward for doing what she asks me-little does she know that I actually have her trained to give me treats! She tells me all of the time what a wonderful little dog I am! I guess that is probably true! Hey, I have an idea! If you fill out an application, I could meet you too! Gosh, I sure would love that, and I can’t wait to see you soon!
*Note: Nixie has a slight deformity of her nose (snout). It turns up a bit and is the cause of her adorable grin, and at times limits her vision. She is a very-very happy dog! And oh so sweet!
My adoption fee is $200. All of Good Karma's dogs are current on heartworm/flea and tick preventative while in foster care, spayed/neutered, and are adopted with all age-appropriate distemper vaccines, rabies vaccine, deworming, microchip, and heartworm test (in dogs over 6 months of age). *Good Karma adopts out animals within a 60 mile radius of the Twin Cities, or a 30 minute radius of Duluth and Rochester*

Once the application is received, and awesome representative of Good Karma will contact you to answer any questions you may have and/or set up a time for you to meet your new pet! Good Karma Animal Rescue’s approval process includes conducting a home visit before adopters take their new pet home.
